
Open the Music folder copied in step 4, and select all folders and files by dragging them.When copying to the microSD card, open Android File Transfer → microSD card → Music folder. Start Android File Transfer, open WALKMAN → Internal Shared Storage → Music folder.
Connect your computer and the newer Walkman player using the USB type‑C® cable. Start Finder and open the connected WALKMAN. Install Android File Transfer on your computer in advance. Note: When using an Apple® Mac computer with the M1 or M2 chip, the Android File Transfer software will not detect the NW-ZX500/A100 Series Walkman player. When copying is complete, disconnect the player from the computer. Drag and drop (copy) them to the Music folder in the Internal shared storage opened in step 5. Open the Music folder copied in step 3 from Explorer, then select HOME → Select All. When copying to the microSD card, select WALKMAN to open the microSD card. Start Windows Explorer, open the connected WALKMAN, and select Internal Shared Storage. Connect your computer and the newer Walkman player using the included USB type‑C® cable. When copying is complete, disconnect the older player from the computer. Drag and drop (copy) the entire Music folder to any location on your computer. Start Explorer and open the connected WALKMAN. Connect the computer and the older Walkman player using the supplied USB cable.
Prepare any location with at least as much free space as the copy source Music folder. If there is not enough free space, it is recommended that you prepare a microSD card with the same or larger capacity and transfer it.
Make sure you have sufficient free space on the newer Walkman playerįree space equivalent to or larger than the copy source Music folder is required. The Walkman DMP-Z1, NW-A30, NW-A40, NW-A50 Series, NW-WM1A, NW-WM1Z, NW-ZX300 Series support transferring a playlist to the following Walkman:. If the music content registered in the playlist has not been transferred, it will not be displayed in the playlists of the Music player on the newer Walkman player. If this is the case, you can copy sub-files or folders individually, but be sure to copy all folders and files. If the file(s) being transferred is large, it may take several hours to complete. Music content registered in a playlist can't be stored separately in the player's memory or SD™ card. The Language Study content isn't supported on the newer Walkman player. If music content not registered in the playlist(s) is transferred, you can delete them after copying the folder to the newer Walkman player, if necessary. You can temporarily transfer the playlists by moving the MUSIC folder from the older Walkman® player to the computer and then dragging and dropping that folder to the newer Walkman player.
